About the Conductors

Stephanie Riehl – Conductor and Music Director of the Oxford Winds
Stephanie is a founding performing member of the Oxford Winds and currently serves as Music Director of the organization. Before becoming conductor of the Oxford Winds in 2007, she played percussion and clarinet in the bands and served as the Vice President for the Board of Directors. Stephanie has completed her Grade 8 piano and her Grade 9 clarinet certificates from the Royal Conservatory of Music and is a graduate of the University of Western Ontario with an Honours Bachelor Degree in Criminology and Minor in Music. Stephanie lives and works in Woodstock and when she is not making music with the Winds, she enjoys attending local concerts and spending time with friends and family.

Benjamin Williams – Conductor of the Oxford Breeze
Ben is a lifelong musician from London, Ontario. He studied Music Education at the University of Western Ontario, where he conducted the Western Mustang Band. After spending two years teaching in the UK, Ben is currently an occasional teacher for the Thames Valley District School Board and teaching private lessons at the School of Music Arts in London, Ontario. Ben has played trombone in the Band of the Ceremonial Guard in Ottawa and Queen’s Own Rifles in Toronto, as well as community orchestras in London and Oakville. Ben has also sung in numerous barbershop quartets and choruses and currently sings with London’s Forest City Fire. When Ben isn’t making and listening to music he enjoys watching soccer, all things pop culture, board games, and spending time with friends and family.
